The Concept of Barefoot Running Shoes
October 10th, 2010
Running free of shoes has been advised as having several advantages which a handful of runners are adding as part of their training regimens. There is a lot of noise about this online, but at running events you almost never see anyone running barefoot. Usually there are some problems related to exercising without shoes, so barefoot running shoes are more popular as a substitute. Most are shoes that copies the biomechanics of working out without having footwear. They feature no protection from hard surfaces or stability for your rearfoot and so are incredibly flexible. These features permit the jogging to become very similar to the same biomechanics when they would have whenever they are not using footwear. Without shoes purists do not like the theory, as they are still running footwear. Presently there is definitely no research which training by doing this will be any better. There is also a lack of evidence for running shoes as well.
